New York Magazine: What we know about COVID-19 & Pregnancy

In March, hospitals across the country began banning spouses, partners, and other visitors from labor and delivery rooms in the hope of reducing the spread of the coronavirus. But these policies forced some women to give birth alone or opt for home births.

While there’s still much to learn about the effects of COVID-19 on pregnancy, the Cut spoke with Dr. Tara Shirazian and Dr. Joia Crear-Perry who shared their recommendations for birthing people during this pandemic.
